G&G Manufacturing Company produces and stocks several types of couplers and clutches to keep you operating or help you produce your product. Stocked items include; shaft couplers, set collars, several styles of roller chain flexible coupler sprockets, including single and double roller chain style coupler sprockets, Delrin coupling chain, coupler hubs, and jaw couplers. We also stock jaw clutches, parts to build your own SCX ratchet slip clutches, shear sprockets, torque limiter clutches, and in-line chear clutches.
Shaft Couplers USA/NOVA are stocked in both round and hexagonal bores, with 2 set screws. All sizes stocked in both USA Made and Nova Import Line.
Set Collars are stocked in both round and hexagonal bores, all with one set screw, in most popular sizes.
Coneflex Couplings have a unique concave design principle which provides maximum bearing area and more evenly distributed loads when operating in misaligned conditions. Pressure surfaces of jaws are accurately die cast to form a cone segment. Coupling jaws and inserts maintain their relative position even under misaligned conditions. This allows uniform compression that results in longer life. Oil resistant high grade synthetic rubber inserts have similar pressure surfaces that conform to the die cast jaws. This provides an equalized and cushioned transfer of power. Coupling halves are manufactured from high tensile zinc so rust problems are eliminated. Stocked on many popular bore sizes and application ratings. All Coneflex Coupling Halves are furnished with standard keyways and setscrews. Non standard Bore Sizes and keyways are available upon request. Couplings No. 1, No. 2, & No. 4 are available by quotation.
NOVA Import Line Type L-Jaw Couplings are available is most popular coupling and bore sizes. The inserts are available as well.
Roller Chain Flexible Coupler Sprockets are available in 50 chain 10 tooth, 60 chain 10 and 12 tooth and 80 chain 12 tooth. A complete Roller Chain Flexible Coupler consists of two coupler halves and one coupler chain. Coupler halves are furnished with keyway and setscrew. Coupler chain is stocked in the correct length for each size coupler sprocket, and includes a connector link. Order each half and chain separately. Roller Chain Flexible Coupler Halves are designed to fit any standard single roller chain. Roller Chain Flexible Coupler Sprocket Halves are available in other bore sizes and styles, or with hardened teeth.
Coupler Sprockets are available in most popular bore sizes. 50 chain 12 tooth sprockets, furnished with standard keyway and setscrew. Designed to fit Link-Belt #50 Coupler Chain. Link-Belt #50 Chain is not available from G&G Manufacturing Company.
Nova Import Line Double Roller Chain Coupler Sprockets are stocked in popular industry standard sizes, 4012, 4016, 5016, 5018, 6018, 6020, 8018, 8020, finish bore with standard keyway and setscrew and stock bore to be machined to any special bore requirements. Coupler chain for the 40, 50, 60, and 80 chain double roller chain coupler sprockets is also available. Connector links are included. Double Roller Chain Couplers have a torque capacity which is more than the torque normally transmitted by the shafting that will fit each coupler bore range. Select the smallest coupler size which will accommodate both of your shafts. For reversing operations, shock or pulsating loads, or other severe operation conditions, select the next larger coupler size. All rotating power transmission products are potentially dangerous and must be properly guarded for the speeds and applications for which they are intended. G&G Manufacturing Company Double Roller Chain Coupler Sprockets should not be operated at speeds exceeding 5000 FPM rim speed.
Coupler Hubs are designed to connect two separate shafts. The shafts may be the same or different styles or sizes. Simply choose the WELDAJOINT Bushing® , WELDAHUB® or SH QD Bushing for each shaft needed and assemble with the appropriate Coupler Hub.
SC-X 4" Shaft Mounted Ratchet Slip Clutches are for applications in the 8 to 12 HP range at 540 RPM. They can be used with any standard G&G WELDASPROCKET® that accepts an X-series WELDAHUB®. Tension adjustment is provided by the compression spring, which is available in three sizes. Clutches are available in 1", 1-1/8", 1-3/16" and 1-1/4" bore sizes only. Replacement parts are available to build your clutch - G&G can provide assembly for 25 minimum quantity. Contact us for a quote.
Shear Sprockets are available in 1", 1-1/8", 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" bores with standard keyway and setscrew. Sprockets can be furnished with 3/16", 1/4", 5/16" or 3/8" shear pin on a 4-1/2" bolt circle. When ordering specify bore size, sprocket size and pin size for a quote. Other sizes and styles available by quotation as well.
Torque Limiter Clutches will prevent damage to expensive drive components. They slip instantaneously when overloaded and automatically reset when overload is eliminated. Clutches are available in a 3/4" , 7/8", 1" or 1-1/4" bores with standard keyway and setscrew. One or two Belleville Spring Washers determine the torque range of these clutches. Torque Limiter Clutches require precision ground sprockets which are available upon request.
